Occupational Therapist - Early Start Australia Graduate Program

About the role

Early Start Australia, a national multidisciplinary Allied Health organisation focused on care for children, is recruiting an Occupational Therapist through its graduate program. The role combines clinic-based work with community work, and offers a smooth onboarding with a dedicated buddy, fortnightly technical training and 1-on-1 mentoring by a senior clinician.

Key responsibilities

• Help children reach development milestones such as fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and independent skills like throwing a ball, dressing or holding a pencil
• Educate and involve parents and carers in the child's development and learning
• Help children with developmental delays learn everyday tasks such as bathing, dressing, brushing teeth and feeding themselves
• Help children with behavioural issues use positive ways to manage emotions and behaviour in all settings

Required profile

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Eligible for AHPRA registration after graduation
• Graduated in the last 12 months or graduating in 2025
• Valid driver's licence with access to your own insured vehicle
• Working with Children Check, police check, NDIS Workers Screening Clearance, First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain them
