About the role
The Nurse Manager (Grade 3) leads the Alcohol and Other Drugs Services within the Northern NSW Local Health District. This senior nursing position offers high autonomy, strategic influence, and the chance to shape community health outcomes across a dynamic, strengths‑based team.
Key responsibilities
- Provide operational management and nursing leadership for the Alcohol and Other Drugs Services.
- Engage clinicians in developing, delivering, and evaluating health services.
- Drive clinical standards, safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Oversee staff recruitment, performance management, and professional development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, patient‑centred care.
Required profile
- Registered Nurse with extensive experience in substance‑use or community health settings.
- Demonstrated leadership and managerial capability at a Grade 3 level.
