New Graduate Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Exercise Physiology, Podiatry)

About the role

North and West Remote Health (NWRH), a not-for-profit provider of allied health, mental health, aged care and community services across more than 50 rural, regional and remote Queensland communities, is seeking expressions of interest from new and soon-to-be graduates in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Exercise Physiology and Podiatry. Graduates join a multidisciplinary team with structured mentoring, clinical supervision and professional development, working with diverse caseloads and experienced clinicians.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based allied health services within your discipline
• Support clients across a diverse range of presentations and ages
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Queensland
• Provide outreach services in regional and remote communities, travelling by fleet vehicle or small aircraft, with travel, accommodation and meals covered

Required profile

• Completing or recently completed an Allied Health degree
• Eligible for relevant registration or professional membership
• Current C Class driver licence
• Current or willing to obtain a Blue Card and NDIS clearance

What we offer

• Salary from $82,858 to $105,893 plus superannuation, depending on experience
• Salary sacrifice options up to $15,900
• 5 weeks annual leave plus 17.5% loading
• Rental subsidy of $180 per fortnight and initial accommodation in Mount Isa and Longreach
• Flight home after 12 months in Mount Isa or Longreach
• Up to 10 days of paid professional development leave each year
• Paid parental leave (8 weeks) and partner leave (3 weeks)
• EAP, external monthly supervision and flexible work options including part-time, compressed hours and job sharing
