Multiple Academic Positions at Monash Law Faculty

About the role

Monash Law is seeking exceptional academics to join its vibrant faculty at the Clayton campus. Both full‑time and part‑time appointments are available at Lecturer (Level B) and Senior Lecturer (Level C) levels, offering continuing (permanent) contracts across teaching‑research and education‑focused streams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate law courses, including lectures, tutorials and assessments.
• Supervise and mentor students on research projects, dissertations and clinical placements.
• Develop and maintain an active research programme, publishing in reputable journals and securing external funding.
• Contribute to curriculum design, program review and educational innovation within the faculty.
• Engage with Monash’s community legal centres, law chambers and industry partners to enhance experiential learning.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent in law or a closely related discipline.
• Strong record of scholarly publications and evidence of research impact.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a commitment to student learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, interdisciplinary environment.
• Interest in any area of law, with openness to interdisciplinary research.
