MS Business Central Technical Specialist

About the role

A fast-growing global brand that designs and manufactures its own products and sells internationally is hiring an in-house MS Business Central Technical Specialist in Melbourne. Reporting to the Head of IT, you will become the go-to authority on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across the group, owning the platform's technical and functional side as support, enhancement, integration and banking work moves in-house from an external partner. The platform is modern and recently implemented.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy enhancements and extensions, including inventory reservation automation, credit limit blocking and approval workflows.
• Build and own integrations with 3PL/WMS partners, customer EDI platforms and a B2B portal using APIs, OData and web services.
• Implement bank integrations and EFT, and support finance with intercompany, Intrastat and month-end work.
• Manage environments, users and security, plus documentation, architecture maps and SOPs.
• Resolve Business Central issues at the root across all entities and document fixes so they stay fixed.

Required profile

• MB-800 certification; MB-820 and AL development highly regarded.
• Strong hands-on Business Central experience, ideally including an end-to-end implementation or major rollout.
• Ability to turn business problems into practical system solutions and explain them clearly to non-technical users.
• Proactive, curious approach, with flexibility to join occasional evening calls with overseas teams.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Business Central finance, inventory, sales, purchasing, warehousing and intercompany modules.
• Building and supporting integrations with APIs, OData and web services.
