About the role

Singleton and Branxton Veterinary Hospitals, a well-established mixed animal practice in the Hunter Valley, NSW, is seeking an experienced mixed practice veterinarian. The two connected hospitals share a collaborative approach, and the role suits full-time or flexible part-time hours. The caseload is 80% small animal and 20% large animals (beef/dairy, equine and hobby farms), with a shared, sustainable after-hours roster supported by a call-filtering service.

Key responsibilities

• Treat small and large animals in a mixed practice setting, with strong surgical exposure and opportunities to develop complex soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics skills
• Manage cases independently while working collaboratively within a team
• Build clinical knowledge and surgical capability in regional practice, with support from an experienced veterinary and nursing team

Required profile

• At least 3 years' experience as a veterinarian
• Enjoys the diversity and challenges of mixed practice
• Confident managing cases independently and works well in a team
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Enjoys both medical and surgical work for small and large animals
