Mining Engineer – Mine Production (Olympic Dam)

About the role

As a Mine Production Engineer at Olympic Dam, you will drive production performance across a large underground operation. Working closely with operational and technical teams, you will provide specialist analysis, benchmarking and performance insights to optimise end‑to‑end production outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with underground crews and leaders to develop and implement new ideas and improvement initiatives.
• Compile reports and analyse production performance indicators, equipment capability assumptions and functional capability gaps.
• Prepare inputs for the production budget and develop operating standards, procedures and work instructions.
• Provide feedback to Planning & Technical teams to improve execution plans, designs, schedules and forecasts.
• Collaborate with Reliability and Technology teams on equipment modifications and new capability exploration.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified Mining Engineer or closely related field.
• Operational underground mining experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of the underground production cycle, including stope drilling, blasting, truck loading, haulage and raise drilling.
• Proven experience managing and implementing improvement initiatives.
