MineStar Controller – Operations Centre (Perth)

About the role

We are seeking MineStar Controllers to oversee the autonomous fleet at Rio Tinto’s Pilbara mines from the Operations Centre in Perth. The role ensures safety, operational and production targets are met while driving optimal performance in collaboration with site personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise state‑of‑the‑art technology and MineStar systems to achieve key performance indicators.
• Control the world’s first autonomous watercarts and CAT trucks.
• Work within Integrated Control, reporting to the Supervisor Control.
• Liaise with mine sites to secure the best possible outcomes.
• Collaborate with a team to maintain safe and efficient operations.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to personal and team safety.
• Extensive experience with Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) and MineStar platforms.
• Solid work ethic, analytical mindset and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Relevant mining experience and a current Australian driver’s licence.
