Mine Planning Engineer (FIFO, Perth)

About the role

We are seeking a Mine Planning Engineer to develop short‑ and medium‑term underground mine plans for a gold operation. Reporting to the Senior Engineer – Mine Planning, you will support production, safety and cost targets while working on an 8‑days‑on, 6‑days‑off FIFO roster from Perth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop accurate short‑ to medium‑term mine plans aligned with operational objectives and LOM timeframes.
• Review economic evaluations and ensure financial objectives are met under defined cut‑off grades.
• Incorporate ventilation, infrastructure, DnB and paste‑fill requirements into mine designs.
• Prepare stope designs, declines, escape ways, level plans and mining instructions.
• Create infrastructure plans and schedules that integrate with mining activities and budget constraints.
• Provide timely planning guidance to support production schedules.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on key projects.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of statutory safety requirements and ability to obtain a WA FCMM Certificate.
• Significant underground engineering experience, preferably in gold mining.
• Valid manual driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with Deswik CAD.
• Experience with Deswik Scheduler.
• Experience with Ventsim.
