Mid-Senior Mining Professionals

About the role

Hire Resolve is partnering with mining organisations across Australia to recruit experienced mid‑ to senior‑level professionals for a range of functions including operations, technical services, processing, maintenance, projects and HSE leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or support safe, efficient mining and processing operations in surface and/or underground environments.
• Strengthen WHS compliance, conduct risk assessments, develop safe work method statements and ensure audit readiness.
• Drive operational performance through production planning, KPI management, cost control and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical input to mine planning, drill‑and‑blast, geotechnical control and ventilation strategies.
• Optimise processing plant throughput, recovery and product quality via troubleshooting and improvement projects.
• Oversee maintenance and reliability strategies for mobile and fixed assets, including shutdown planning.
• Manage contractors and service providers to ensure safe execution, quality delivery and adherence to scope, schedule and budget.
• Support project execution, commissioning and change management activities.
• Develop teams through coaching, competency development and performance management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or geoscience discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• 5–12+ years of progressive experience in mining, minerals processing, quarrying or comparable heavy‑industrial environments.
• Demonstrated WHS capability with practical risk management and incident investigation experience.
• Experience in operations leadership, technical services, mine planning, processing optimisation, maintenance/reliability, projects or HSE management.
• Ability to work on‑site and in field conditions, including FIFO/DIDO, rostered shifts and travel as required.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP or Maximo.
• Experience with planning/scheduling software and condition monitoring tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI advantageous.
