Microsoft Windows 365 Engineer – Modern Workplace

About the role

Join Avanade’s Modern Workplace team to design, deploy and support enterprise‑scale Windows 365 Cloud PC solutions. You will help clients modernise their end‑user computing environment using Microsoft Intune, Entra ID and Windows 11, ensuring security, compliance and a seamless user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy Windows 365 Cloud PC, configure provisioning policies, images and lifecycle management, and support migrations from VDI, Citrix, VMware and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Implement and maintain Microsoft Intune architectures, device compliance, configuration profiles, conditional access and Windows Autopilot deployment.
• Configure Microsoft Entra ID integrations, Zero‑Trust controls and identity governance for endpoint access.
• Maintain secure Windows 11 Standard Operating Environments, security baselines and evergreen upgrade programmes.
• Package and deploy enterprise applications using Win32, MSI, EXE and PowerShell, creating detection rules, deployment rings and automation workflows.
• Implement endpoint security controls aligned with ASD Essential Eight, ISM and Zero‑Trust principles, and support security assessments and remediation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years experience delivering modern endpoint management, Windows 365 or virtual desktop solutions and enterprise application packaging.
• Experience working in consultancy or managed‑services engagements for enterprise, government or highly regulated clients.
• Australian citizenship (security clearance highly regarded).
