Mental Health Clinician

About the role

Better. Together, a free mental health service for people aged 18 and over across the Murrumbidgee region, is looking for a Mental Health Clinician to join its multidisciplinary team in Young, NSW. The role combines clinical expertise with leadership, supporting a team of clinicians and helping people with severe and/or complex mental health needs build resilience, achieve recovery goals and reconnect with community. The salary is $98k-$111k plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusting, respectful relationships and work alongside people as experts in their own lives
• Complete psychosocial, mental health and risk assessments
• Develop, implement and review recovery-focused care plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions within your scope of practice
• Facilitate psychoeducation and therapeutic group programs, including working alongside peer workers
• Coordinate care across primary, specialist and community services
• Take part in multidisciplinary case conferences, Team Care Reviews and clinical discussions
• Support stepped-care transitions and warm referrals to other services
• Take part in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification and current registration or accreditation at the level required for the discipline
• Demonstrated understanding of recovery-oriented, trauma-informed and person-led practice
• Right to work in Australia, 100 points of ID and a valid driver's licence and willingness to travel
• Satisfactory National Police Record Check, International Police Check (if applicable), Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (Quality Safety and You)
