Mechanical Engineer – Perth

About the role

Lycopodium is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its Perth team and support a key base‑metals project. You will work under the Group Manager Engineering, delivering accurate design outputs that meet project, client and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide proficient design input for the production of mechanical drawings.
• Perform engineering calculations and ensure design accuracy.
• Develop and monitor designs in line with project, client and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across all business units.
• Assist with tenders and give technical recommendations for mechanical equipment procurement.

Required profile

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3‑5 years experience on mineral processing plants or similar capital projects.
• Demonstrated ability to interface with clients, vendors and internal stakeholders.
• High attention to detail, strong problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
