Mechanical Engineer – Facilities & Systems

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will support safe and effective operation, maintenance and management of facility assets, infrastructure and systems for a global government and private‑sector partner.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical studies, analyses, investigations and consultations for facility infrastructure and equipment.
• Design and develop solutions for mechanical engineering problems, including HVAC, hydronic and data‑centre cooling systems.
• Provide technical advice on infrastructure changes from concept through detailed IFC designs.
• Develop ROM costing estimates and perform engineering calculations to support upgrades and replacements.
• Evaluate and optimise operational systems, equipment and processes.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance or Australian citizenship able to obtain Top‑Secret Positive Vetting.
• Minimum one year of experience with building management and control systems.
• Driver’s licence; PE/CPEng certification desirable.
