Mechanical Engineer – Building Services

About the role

AECOM’s national Building Engineering team is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with Building Services experience to join our Brisbane office. You will work on multi‑disciplinary projects across sports, defence, aviation, healthcare and data‑centre sectors throughout Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective mechanical and HVAC designs for a variety of projects.
• Lead design delivery for major client projects and participate in technical reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and perform quality‑control reviews of calculations and drawings.
• Collaborate within multi‑disciplinary teams and contribute to interdisciplinary project reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (or related) with current RPEQ/RPEV registration and chartership (or working towards).
• At least 4 years of mechanical design experience in a Building Services consultancy or senior mechanical services role.
• Demonstrated experience in Australian/NZ building projects and client‑management skills.
• Australian citizenship required; defence clearance is highly regarded.
