Marketing Intern - Sydney

About the role

A professional organisation based in Sydney is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Intern. The internship is part-time, unpaid and self-funded, running for 12 weeks at 3 days per week. It suits Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or Business students and recent graduates who want hands-on Australian industry experience in digital marketing, social media, content creation, branding and marketing campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Shadow marketing professionals during campaign planning and execution
• Learn social media content creation and scheduling
• Assist with supervised digital marketing and promotional projects
• Develop sample marketing materials and creative content
• Conduct market and competitor research
• Gain exposure to email marketing, SEO and website content
• Observe campaign performance tracking and reporting
• Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions

Required profile

• Currently studying or recently completed Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Business or a related qualification
• Good understanding of social media platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Creative thinking, attention to detail, good organisational and teamwork skills, and a proactive attitude
• Previous marketing experience is advantageous but not essential
• Must be currently located in Sydney and hold a valid visa allowing internship participation; international students are welcome

Required skills

• Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools is advantageous
• Understanding of digital marketing tools and techniques
