Manager, Valuations Modelling and Economics

About the role

EY Parthenon is hiring an experienced Manager for its Valuation Modelling and Economics (VME) team within the Strategy and Transactions service line. The team advises clients on preserving, optimising, raising or investing capital, covering areas such as M&A, project finance, corporate restructuring and transaction support. The role is based in Warringah, Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Work in small project teams to carry out valuations of businesses and intangible assets for management planning, M&A, tax, financial reporting and disputes.
• Own delivery of projects within each team, preparing valuation reports and detailed financial modelling and analysis.
• Identify issues and propose strategies related to the advice given.
• Maintain positive, productive and professional relationships with clients and colleagues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and approximately 3 to 7 years of related work experience.
• Degree in finance, economics, accounting or business, with demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Open, curious mind and strong teaming skills.

Required skills

• Direct experience using valuation techniques such as market comparables and discounted cash flow.
• Experience in financial modelling in MS Excel and related software preferred.
• Experience conducting valuations for accounting or tax planning purposes desired.
• Excellent analytical, communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
