Manager, Operational Risk & Resilience

About the role

The Manager, Operational Risk & Resilience will partner with Enterprise Finance and Corporate Enablement functions to strengthen operational and resilience risk management across ANZ. Working as a trusted first‑line risk partner, you will influence decision‑making, uplift risk capability and embed a culture of accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational and resilience change risk and risk profile assessments.
• Advise business teams on operational, resilience and model risk management practices.
• Design, strengthen and embed effective risk and control frameworks.
• Support implementation of regulatory and policy changes through impact assessments and stakeholder engagement.
• Analyse risk trends, emerging issues and control effectiveness to provide actionable insights.
• Prepare and present materials for governance forums, senior leaders and assurance activities.
• Lead issue remediation and control uplift initiatives with stakeholders.
• Leverage analytics, automation and emerging technologies to monitor risk indicators.
• Coach and develop colleagues, fostering a high‑performing, risk‑aware culture.

Required profile

• Significant experience in operational risk, resilience risk, compliance, audit or risk management within financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
• Deep understanding of risk and control frameworks, control design, assurance and risk governance.
• Ability to interpret regulatory obligations and translate requirements into practical business outcomes.
• Proven experience conducting risk assessments and identifying opportunities to strengthen controls and processes.
• Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
