Manager – Non‑Financial Risk Events

About the role

The Manager – Non‑Financial Risk (NFR) Events will work closely with the Senior Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of NFR events across ANZ’s retail product portfolio. This position offers exposure to multiple systems, processes and stakeholders within the Australia Division, providing a deep dive into retail banking risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Case‑manage NFR events from creation to closure, adhering to established risk frameworks, guidelines and service level agreements.
• Utilise specialised tools to capture findings, store evidence, obtain workflow approvals and progress events through each lifecycle stage.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and support functions to investigate root causes and develop remediation proposals.
• Document investigations, update findings, and present recommendations to team leads and decision‑makers.
• Participate in training sessions to stay current with tool and framework updates.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and detail‑oriented mindset with the ability to think structurally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
• Organised and able to manage multiple priorities against deadlines.
• Experience working in a team environment and building trusted relationships across a large organisation.
