About the role

Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) is looking for a Manager - Media and External Communications to lead media relations, corporate messaging and reputation management. The role helps position MLA as the trusted voice of Australia's red meat and livestock industry, partnering with senior leaders, industry stakeholders and media to deliver strategic communications, manage issues and raise MLA's profile.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in media, communications or public affairs.
• Experience advising senior leaders in complex environments.
• Ability to develop strategic narratives and communication plans.
• Confidence working in fast-paced, high-profile settings.
• Appropriate visa or residency status for full-time employment in Australia.

Required skills

• Strong stakeholder and media relationship management.
• Expertise in issues, crisis and reputation management.
• Exceptional writing, briefing and executive communication.
• Understanding of media performance and insights.
