Manager – Homelessness Services

About the role

The City of Sydney is seeking a senior leader to head its Homelessness team. You will guide a dedicated group of professionals to deliver timely, effective, and trauma‑informed services for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Homelessness team, ensuring efficient operations that meet the expectations of residents, visitors, and businesses.
• Provide dignified, trauma‑informed care and support to individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with government agencies, community organisations, peak bodies and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate on city‑wide initiatives to achieve strategic outcomes for homelessness reduction.
• Oversee program development that promotes community participation and positive outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and extensive management or operations experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams through change.
• Demonstrated stakeholder‑management expertise.
• Relevant experience or qualifications in developing programs/services that support community participation.
• Deep understanding of community support within a local and global city context.
