About the role
The Manager Governance & Compliance will partner closely with the Senior Manager G&C–Governance to lead the Governance and Compliance division at Acclime Australia. This role is responsible for delivering high‑quality client service, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence across the compliance portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all compliance clients, acting as the escalation point for client concerns.
- Oversee client onboarding, due‑diligence, and ongoing compliance with ASIC and ATO obligations.
- Lead, coach and mentor a high‑performing compliance team, managing performance and fostering continuous improvement.
- Contribute to strategy, business improvement initiatives and ensure efficient policies and practices.
- Maintain and update compliance technology systems such as BGL‑CAS 360, Agility and Monday Boards.
- Manage client queries, provide timely communication and ensure clients remain compliant with relevant legislation.
- Provide secretarial support for client portfolios, including company incorporation and registration tasks.
Required profile
- Proven ability to build and sustain strong client relationships.
- Leadership experience in managing and developing a compliance team.
- Experience handling client escalations and delivering high‑quality service.
- Strong understanding of Australian regulatory frameworks (ASIC, ATO).
