Manager Economic Crime Risk

About the role

The Economic Crime Risk team is accountable for developing, implementing and leading the group's economic crime compliance services, covering AML / CTF, Sanctions, Fraud and Scam risks and obligations. Reporting to the Executive Manager, you will work closely with stakeholders in the Chief Operating Officer area to advise on process improvements for key economic crime controls across KYC, Transaction Monitoring and Investigations, and Customer Due Diligence.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in executing the financial crime compliance business plan.
• Help internal stakeholders identify, manage and mitigate financial crime risks.
• Give quality advice on financial crime matters and take part in risk assessments, reviews and forums.
• Help the business and Group support functions develop action plans for identified issues.
• Assist in developing and delivering relevant reporting.
• Maintain auditable records of risk assessments and advice given to business customers.
• Help the business build controls that meet the group's financial crime policy framework.
• Work collaboratively with other risk teams and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience in a Compliance, AML / CTF, Sanctions or Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) role, preferably in an advisory capacity.
• Deep technical knowledge of the AML / CTF, Sanctions and Fraud and Scams risk environment.
• Proven ability to coordinate and influence senior stakeholders.
• Relevant industry certification or accreditation is desirable.
