Manager - Deal Technology (Strategy and Transaction Execution)

About the role

EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Transaction Execution - Deal Technology team advises corporate, government and private equity clients on technology aspects of acquisitions and divestments, such as IT, cyber, software and data due diligence, separation or integration analysis, value creation and synergy assessments. This is a hybrid position based in Melbourne, supporting Deal Technology services on transactions of all sizes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate key IT risks and considerations that affect deal value for buy-side clients
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients on technical matters relating to separation or integration assessments
• Develop and present key deliverables to clients and support business development activities
• Identify client risks across the transaction lifecycle and mitigate them early
• Analyse a company's IT financials and highlight transaction considerations
• Manage engagement teams day to day in delivering Deal Technology services
• Act as the main point of contact for the client on the Deal Technology scope of services
• Collaborate with the wider EY-Parthenon division and other EY teams to solve client challenges

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience
• Experience in 2 of these 3 areas: mergers and acquisitions, technology, consulting/advisory services
• Advanced problem-solving, curiosity and creative thinking
• Aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience delivering high-quality reports and presentations
• Strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients, driven with high EQ

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
