Manager - Central Compliance Licensing

About the role

The Manager – Central Compliance – Licensing will lead ANZ’s compliance with its domestic licensing obligations, focusing on the Australian Financial Services Licence and Australian Credit Licence. You will act as the primary liaison for legal, risk, compliance and business teams, ensuring robust governance and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor compliance with Australian Financial Services and Credit Licence requirements across ANZ entities.
• Support ongoing compliance with regulatory conditions, reporting obligations and licence‑specific requirements.
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve licensing frameworks, policies and procedures.
• Implement controls to identify, assess and mitigate licensing‑related risks.
• Lead AFS Licence submissions and regulator interactions on behalf of ANZ BGL entities.
• Oversee preparation, review and timely submission of licence applications, variations and regulatory notifications.
• Maintain accurate licensing records, registers, attestations and supporting evidence.
• Ensure licensing documentation is audit‑ready and meets regulator expectations.
• Provide licensing advice to Legal, Risk, Compliance and business stakeholders.
• Build effective relationships with regulators and external advisers as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in regulatory compliance, licensing or risk management within the financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of Australian Financial Services Licence and Australian Credit Licence frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead cross‑functional initiatives.

Required skills
