Manager, Cabin Assurance & Projects

About the role

The Manager, Cabin Assurance & Projects leads Qantas' Cabin Operations assurance programme, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across the cabin crew environment. Based at the Mascot Campus, this senior role provides independent assurance and insight to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and deliver the Cabin Operations assurance programme, including audits, surveillance, monitoring and LOSA.
• Identify risks, assess controls and produce clear, actionable insights for safety improvement.
• Develop and present audit and assurance reports to senior management, safety, regulatory and operational stakeholders.
• Communicate findings to cabin crew, highlighting non‑conformances, emerging risks and behavioural trends.
• Ensure assurance activities are risk‑based, outcome‑focused and aligned with the Group Safety Management System.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aviation safety assurance, audit or regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Line Operations Safety Audits (LOSA).
• Ability to produce accurate, timely reports and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and crew briefings.
