Manager, Business Services & Tax

About the role

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead our Business Services & Tax team. You will work with a diverse portfolio of SMEs, partnerships and trusts, delivering high‑quality financial statements, tax returns and strategic advisory.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied client base, ensuring timely preparation and review of financial statements and tax compliance.
• Provide business advisory services including budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimise client outcomes.
• Mentor junior staff, fostering their professional development.
• Build strong, lasting relationships with clients to understand and meet their financial needs.

Required profile

• CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent).
• 4–6 years of experience in business services or public‑practice accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and accounting standards.
• Excellent communication and client‑focused approach.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero.
• Proficiency with MYOB.
• Proficiency with APS.
