Manager and Senior Manager - Audit

About the role

EY is hiring a Manager or Senior Manager in Audit, based in Warringah, Sydney. You will help clients meet their reporting requirements by accurately reporting on financial statements and providing meaningful insights into accounting and reporting matters. Learning and development is tailored to your interests, and the role can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the audit engagement by defining audit strategy, in consultation with the Senior Manager / Partner, and executing it in line with policies and protocols.
• Manage the audit process, considering audit risk and accounting technical matters.
• Lead and manage fieldwork on clients' sites, liaising with other departments to deliver the audit smoothly.
• Leverage expertise in accounting frameworks (IFRS) and related financial reporting matters.

Required profile

• A degree and/or progress towards or completion of a recognised accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Proven experience delivering external audit and assurance engagements.
• Experience leading the planning, execution and reporting of audits.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and give value-added recommendations.
• Willingness to coach and counsel junior team members.
