Management Accountant

About the role

Cushman & Wakefield is looking for a detail‑oriented Management Accountant to join its finance team in Melbourne. Working in a hybrid environment, you will support a high‑profile client by delivering accurate reporting, budgeting, forecasting and ensuring robust financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly financial reports, including journal entries and commentary.
• Execute balance‑sheet reconciliations for pre‑payments, provisions and accruals.
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Conduct variance and trend analysis to inform business decisions.
• Partner with operational teams to meet financial deliverables and respond to stakeholder queries.
• Maintain compliance with audit requirements and internal controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements and ad‑hoc finance projects.
• Develop and update financial reporting documentation.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship (must be stated in CV).
• Proven experience in finance, accounting or financial analysis.
• Strong reconciliation and reporting background.
• Excellent attention to detail, time‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• Power BI (or similar data‑visualisation tools)
• Anaplan (preferred)
• Experience with financial systems such as JDE, SAP or Oracle
