Management Accountant

About the role

As a Management Accountant at Synergie Australia you will support the finance team by turning financial data into actionable insights for the recruitment and labour‑hire business. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work closely with operational leaders to influence performance, profitability and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse weekly and monthly management reports, highlighting trends and performance drivers.
• Assist with the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts and financial planning activities.
• Monitor actual results against budgets, provide variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Support cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital management and month‑end journal entries.
• Develop financial models, profitability analyses and ad‑hoc commercial projects.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to deliver financial insights for decision‑making.
• Contribute to statutory reporting, audit requirements and compliance obligations.
• Identify and implement improvements to reporting processes, controls and system efficiencies.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification (or progressing towards completion).
• Experience in management accounting, financial analysis or commercial finance.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and performance analysis.
• Proactive, analytical and solutions‑focused mindset.
• Experience in recruitment, labour‑hire or service‑based industries is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for manipulating and interpreting large data sets.
