Maintenance Technician – Night Shift

About the role

Amazon is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join its Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering team at the Moorebank fulfillment centre in Sydney. The role works the night shift on a 4‑day, 10‑hour roster, providing fast response to equipment breakdowns and carrying out preventive maintenance to keep material handling, packaging and distribution machinery running safely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform proactive and preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults in material handling and automation systems.
• Implement long‑term solutions to minimise future downtime.
• Use specialised tools and follow health & safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records in the CMMS and support general building maintenance.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology with a current electrical licence, or Certificate III in Engineering, or a Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner) recognised in Australia.
• Experience with planned preventive maintenance and fault finding on conveyor, motor controller and inverter systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
