Maintenance Person

About the role

Join the maintenance team at John Flynn Retirement Village in Burwood East and provide essential repair and upkeep services for residents and the facility. You will work Monday to Friday, 08:00‑16:00, delivering a safe and pleasant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective maintenance and preventative‑maintenance services for buildings, equipment, facilities and grounds.
• Assist residents with repairs and maintenance tasks inside their homes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies to protect residents, staff and visitors.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a maintenance role, a trade qualification or a recently completed apprenticeship.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability, strong attention to detail and a can‑do attitude.
• Proven customer‑service skills with the ability to build rapport with residents.
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, friendly and professional manner.
