Maintenance Fitter – Timber Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter (or Boilermaker) to join our team at the Branxholm timber mill. In this full‑time, permanent position you will keep critical plant equipment running smoothly, supporting our high‑volume timber and packaging production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs.
• Conduct welding and fabrication tasks where required.
• Install, upgrade and improve plant equipment.
• Collaborate with production staff to minimise downtime.
• Maintain a safe and reliable workplace.

Required profile

• Trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter or Boilermaker.
• Experience in manufacturing, sawmilling, timber or heavy industry.
• Strong mechanical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a commitment to safety.
• Pride in delivering quality workmanship.
