Maintenance Electrician

About the role

Bega Group is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician for a permanent, full-time role at its Penrith, NSW site, which manufactures more than 50 milk-based products. The electrician supports safe, reliable and efficient site operations alongside production and maintenance teams, through hands-on electrical support, proactive maintenance and continuous improvement. The site is in Greater Western Sydney on the banks of the Nepean River.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and electrical systems, responding to breakdowns promptly
• Perform preventative maintenance to improve performance and reduce downtime
• Support and coach team members on safe equipment use
• Complete all work in line with engineering, safety and food quality standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement and safety initiatives

Required profile

• Fully licensed electrician with experience in a manufacturing environment; dairy manufacturing preferred
• Flexible to work a rotating roster: 12-hour day shifts (5:00 AM - 5:00 PM) and 10-hour night shifts (5:00 PM - 3:00 AM), Monday to Sunday
• Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and P&IDs

Required skills

• Knowledge of automation systems including PLCs, SCADA and industrial networks
• Electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting
