Maintenance Electrician - Food Processing Plant

About the role

AustCorp Executive is recruiting on behalf of a well-established food processing business in Cannon Hill, Brisbane, near the CBD. The large-scale site offers a varied, hands-on maintenance environment where tradespeople are valued and supported. An experienced Industrial Electrician will join a close-knit maintenance crew working on plant, equipment and systems across a busy production facility.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical fault-finding, repairs and maintenance across production and packaging equipment
• Work with control systems, automation, PLCs, VSDs and sensors
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance to minimise unplanned downtime
• Respond to breakdowns and implement timely solutions to keep operations running
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders and shift reports
• Contribute ideas toward plant reliability and continuous improvement
• Work closely with production staff, quality teams and supervisors

Required profile

• Current Australian Electrical Licence
• Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing or FMCG setting
• Familiarity with PLCs and VSDs
• Solid understanding of workplace safety and food safety requirements (WHS/HACCP/GMP)
• Comfortable working in cold environments (3-10C) and performing physical duties
• Collaborative approach and good communication skills

What we offer

• Hourly rate of $52.82-$58.51 plus superannuation and penalty rates for overtime
• Annual rate reviews in July and 17.5% annual leave loading
• Relocation support for suitable candidates moving within Australia or New Zealand
• Overtime at 150% and 200% rates
• Rotating 3-week roster with occasional weekend work; day shift 5:00am-1:30pm, afternoon shift 12:15pm-8:45pm
