Maintenance Electrician - Entry to Mid Level

About the role

An industrial site in Burnett Heads is looking for a maintenance electrician, reporting to the Engineering Manager. The role suits candidates with some industrial electrical experience or who wish to be trained, and offers plenty of overtime. Shifts are rotating 12-hour rosters split over three weeks, with long hours and fewer days.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake general repairs, electrical maintenance and routine inspections
• Complete a range of routine inspection tasks
• Read and interpret electrical, architectural and mechanical diagrams, drawings and specifications
• Carry out fault finding, testing and repair work on plant equipment
• Ensure the maintenance plan is followed according to schedule and adjust it when needed

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of electrical experience; exposure to industrial electrical work is great but not essential, and training is offered to motivated candidates
• Trade electrical qualification, including a QLD Electrical Licence
• Previous experience with PLCs is ideal but not essential
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work quickly during busy periods
• A current forklift licence is not essential
