LTSA Engineer – Battery Energy Storage Service

About the role

EVE Energy is expanding its local service team to support a growing pipeline of Australian battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. The LTSA Engineer will deliver on‑site technical service, maintenance and fault resolution for our long‑term service agreement (LTSA) customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on utility‑scale and C&I BESS systems under LTSA contracts.
• Troubleshoot faults in battery modules, power conversion systems (PCS), battery management/energy management systems (BMS/EMS), HVAC and fire protection equipment.
• Conduct regular site inspections, performance testing and system health checks, and produce detailed service reports.
• Provide technical support to customers and subcontractors, including 24/7 emergency call‑outs.
• Assist with commissioning and handover of new BESS projects to the LTSA service team.
• Maintain accurate service records, spare‑parts logs and warranty claim documentation.
• Help optimise O&M procedures and improve overall system reliability.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years hands‑on experience with BESS, solar PV, power‑system or electrical equipment maintenance/commissioning.
• Australian recognised electrical engineering degree or relevant trade qualification; electrical licence preferred.
• Willingness to be based in Melbourne and travel to project sites across VIC/NSW.
• Available for on‑call emergency response and holds Australian work rights.
