Loss Adjuster, MCL

About the role

Sedgwick's Professional Services Division is looking for an experienced Loss Adjuster to join its MCL Property team in Brisbane. Reporting to the Head of MCL - Property, the role uses skills and knowledge to resolve insurance claims. International applicants should use the Apply with SEEK option.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve insurance claims and examine reported losses to establish cause, liability and quantum
• Communicate proactively with clients and customers about initial findings and potential solutions
• Project manage rectification, remediation or reinstatement of damaged property, including emergency repairs with experts
• Verify the nature and extent of loss or damage and quantify reinstatement work (material damage claims)
• Provide coaching and mentoring to more junior staff

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of insurance loss adjusting experience or an AQF Certificate IV
• Relevant industry qualifications, particularly ANZIIF or AICLA or equivalent
• Experience working on domestic and commercial losses in the insurance industry

Required skills

• Knowledge of principles and procedures for processing insurance claims
• Knowledge of claims regulations and legislation
• Technical competency and a strong service delivery focus for clients, insurers, customers and brokers
