About the role

UPS is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage driver dispatch, yard control, and load coordination across its feeder network. The role ensures timely deliveries, accurate driver hours of service, and smooth trailer movements within the yard.

Key responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers with loads throughout the country based on service levels, transit times, and sort indicators.
• Coordinate overflow situations and verify drivers' hours of service.
• Manage Yard Control duties, assigning trailer movements to shifters during sorting operations.
• Oversee trailer assignments and ensure efficient unload processes.

Required profile

• Accurate and rapid data entry skills.
• Strong organizational abilities to handle multiple dispatches and yard activities.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Access.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
