Live-In IHC Educator (ECEC) - 5 Days, Rural Property

About the role

A welcoming family on a rural property in Capella, Queensland is looking for an energetic, warm and flexible educator to work five days a week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The main responsibility is the education and care of the youngest child, aged 3 years, who loves being outdoors, animals, bikes, drawing and painting. The family's two older siblings are homeschooled, so the educator focuses mainly on the 3-year-old, though they may look after the older children at times. The schedule is not fixed to days but hours vary, and the educator may start earlier or finish earlier on some days.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engaging, play-based learning experiences, arts and crafts and outdoor play
• Support mealtimes and nap routines
• Encourage the child's independence and development
• Offer safe, supervised involvement with animals and age-appropriate activities around the property

Required profile

• No qualification necessary; it is preferable to be working towards an Early Childhood Education and Care qualification or to hold another IHC-relevant ACECQA-approved qualification such as a Bachelor of Primary Education and be registered with the relevant state authority
• At least 3 references
• WWCC, police check, CPR and HLTAID012 First Aid
• Car and driver's licence
• Willingness to commit for at least 12 months
• Full working rights in Australia (visas such as 190 or 186 may be considered; applicants on 417 and 462 visas should not apply)

What we offer

• Pay of $41.94 to $53.24 per hour including tax and super, depending on level L1 to L5
• Insurance and workcover costs covered by the employer, who also handles tax and super payments
• Accommodation provided, or live-out if the educator lives locally
