Literacy Training and Support Officer

About the role

The Literacy Training and Support Officer will deliver engaging online and face‑to‑face literacy and numeracy training for volunteer tutors across multiple campuses. You will develop high‑quality learning resources, provide expert guidance, and support the professional development of tutors and coordinators.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver online and face‑to‑face literacy and numeracy training sessions for volunteer tutors.
• Design and produce high‑quality learning resources and instructional materials.
• Provide expert literacy guidance and uphold best‑practice volunteer standards.
• Support the professional development of tutors and coordinators.
• Contribute innovative ideas, articles and insights to improve program outcomes.
• Manage core program operations, including database management, KPI reporting, systems coordination and customer service.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications or experience in adult education, literacy, or related fields.
• Proven experience delivering training and developing instructional resources.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple campuses.
• Commitment to inclusive, diverse and supportive learning environments.
• Eligibility to work in Australia (citizenship or permanent residency).
