About the role
The Library Technician supports St Joseph's College Gregory Terrace by assisting students and staff with their information needs and managing the circulation of library resources. This is a fixed‑term, part‑time position operating only during school term days (Monday to Wednesday).
Key responsibilities
- Assist patrons in locating and using library materials.
- Manage check‑out, return, and renewal processes to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain catalogue records and support resource accessibility.
- Apply best practices in library management within an educational environment.
- Report to the Head of Faculty: Library Services on all aspects of the role.
Required profile
- Commitment to working with children and adherence to child protection policies.
- Experience or interest in library services, preferably in a school setting.
- Ability to work the specified schedule of 3 days per week (7.6 hours per day) during term time.
