LF160 Driller (FIFO) - SA/NSW/QLD

About the role

DDH1 Drilling, a leading diamond drilling company and part of Perenti Limited, is recruiting drillers with demonstrated experience operating LF160 drill rigs and Freedom loaders. This is a FIFO role working with a Tier 1 client, offering stable long-term work and good camp facilities. Ongoing paid training and industry certifications are provided.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the drill rig to OEM standards within a highly regulated safety system.
• Ensure duty of care is exercised in your own work and for all personnel under your control.
• Maintain compliance with HSE regulations and site-specific rules.
• Carry out comprehensive equipment inspections and general maintenance and repairs, including servicing and scheduled component changes.
• Oversee sampling procedures and ensure the core is marked to the client's requirements.
• Train, coach and mentor offsiders and trainee drillers in safe work practices and rig operations.
• Liaise with clients and deliver the drilling program successfully.
• Provide leadership and support for drilling and maintenance, and maintain a high standard of personal presentation and workplace conduct.
• Be fit for work, punctual and attend drug and alcohol testing when required.

Required profile

• Experience operating LF160 drill rigs with Freedom hand rods loaders.
• Current HR or above licence, preferably HC/MC.
• Completed Cert III in Drilling Operations.
• Current First Aid certificate (HLTAID011).
• Current police clearance.
• Strong safety awareness and leadership skills.
