Level 2 Service Desk Officer (IT Support)

About the role

Canberra Grammar School is seeking a motivated Level 2 Service Desk Officer to join its Technology Services team. You will provide high‑quality support to students, teachers and staff while gaining hands‑on experience with the Network and Infrastructure team one day per week.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver second‑line technical support across Apple, Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Mentor Level 1 Service Desk Officers and assist with complex issue resolution.
• Spend one day per week embedded with the Network and Infrastructure team, contributing to systems administration and enterprise networking projects.
• Document business processes and support procedures in a clear, auditable format.
• Participate in change‑management activities and project delivery as required.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary degree or qualification.
• 2–3 years experience in a Level 1–2 IT support environment.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work collaboratively.
• Valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card, current National Police Check and full working rights in Australia.

Required skills

• Experience with SCCM and/or Jamf Pro.
• Extensive knowledge of Apple devices (macOS desktops, laptops, iOS mobile devices).
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and services.
• Experience with Windows devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices) – desirable.
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot network switches, including Extreme switches – desirable.
