Lending Specialist

About the role

Handy Finance, a fast-growing technology company in South Australia, is looking for a Lending Specialist. The role combines sales expertise and financial acumen to connect with potential customers, understand their financial needs and guide them through tailored lending solutions. It is a full-time position based in the Adelaide CBD.

Key responsibilities

• Contact prospective and existing customers proactively to discuss their financial needs and offer tailored lending solutions.
• Conduct needs assessments to match customers with the most suitable personal or asset finance products.
• Collect and review customer information and documentation to determine preliminary loan eligibility.
• Manage a pipeline of leads and applications, following up on time and moving them efficiently through the sales process.
• Follow responsible lending and AML/KYC requirements and other internal policies and regulations.
• Build rapport with customers to establish trust and long-term loyalty.
• Work with credit assessors, underwriting and operations teams so loans are approved and settled smoothly.

Required profile

• No prior finance experience required; training is provided on the necessary policies.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, able to build rapport over the phone.
• Results-driven mindset with a passion for meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent organisational skills to handle multiple leads and applications at once.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems and lending platforms.
