Leisure and Lifestyle Officer (Casual)

About the role

St Vincent's Care Carseldine, an 189-bed aged care facility offering Residential Living, Independent Living and Community Living services, is looking for an experienced Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to join its Lifestyle Team. You will help create a welcoming and supportive care experience for residents by designing and delivering activities that keep them engaged, connected and active, and build positive relationships with residents and their families. This is a casual position covering planned and unexpected leave.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with the Lifestyle Team to support residents staying engaged, connected and active
• Deliver a variety of activities tailored to each resident's individual interests
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families
• Follow care plans and work within established guidelines

Required profile

• Certificate III or Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure, Diversional Therapy or a similar qualification (essential)
• Experience in an aged care environment, including developing and delivering leisure and lifestyle programs, especially for residents living with dementia
• Willingness to obtain a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (essential)
• Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance, or willingness to obtain one (essential)

Required skills

• Strong organisational and time management skills, able to prioritise tasks
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Computer skills
