About the role
The Legal Support Officer provides high‑quality administrative and coordination assistance to the Legal Delivery and Commercial team of the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority. This fixed‑term position supports briefing, correspondence, contract processes, reporting and records management while liaising with external legal providers and tracking budgets.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare correspondence, presentations and reports, responding to ad‑hoc requests.
- Manage diary and mailbox, coordinate meetings, track correspondence and handle competing priorities.
- Coordinate legal brief preparation, maintain fee estimates, review invoices and support budget tracking for externally briefed matters.
- Support contractual correspondence and documentation across Legal and Commercial teams.
- Maintain registers, trackers and records in TRIM, ensuring compliance with policies and document‑control requirements.
- Undertake research and provide clear summaries to aid decision‑making.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships across the organisation.
Required profile
- Experience working in a legal or corporate environment with an understanding of legal processes and documentation standards.
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities, capable of managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.
- Demonstrated initiative, attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously while supporting senior stakeholders.
Required skills
- Proficiency with TRIM records‑management system.
