Legal Quality Assurance Lead (Remote)

About the role

This remote, hourly contractor position focuses on leading legal quality assurance for AI training projects. You will ensure that AI‑generated legal content meets rigorous standards of accuracy, reasoning, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across legal AI training projects.
• Review AI‑generated legal content and trainer/QA work against detailed project rubrics.
• Provide precise written feedback and ensure contributors follow quality standards.
• Assess legal reasoning, issue spotting, jurisdictional awareness, citation handling, clarity, risk awareness, formatting, and instruction‑following.
• Identify recurring quality issues, communicate updates to trainers and QAs, and support onboarding.
• Maintain documentation and reactivate contributors who are not working consistently.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, JD, LLB, LLM, or equivalent in Law, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Compliance, Public Policy, or a closely related field.
• Strong command of English for following guidelines, team communication, and written feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience in legal practice, research, contract review, compliance, regulatory analysis, or related workflows.
• Deep understanding of legal reasoning, issue spotting, contract interpretation, statutory and case analysis, risk assessment, and legal writing standards.
• Ability to evaluate legal content against detailed rubrics and spot unsupported conclusions, hallucinated citations, jurisdictional mismatches, and other quality gaps.
