Legal Officer

About the role

TMGM is seeking a Legal Officer to work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer and support multiple departments across the organization. The role provides legal guidance to ensure the company remains compliant as a licensed financial services provider.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice for company operations, including review, preparation and amendment of legal documentation.
• Review and manage contracts with third parties, monitor execution and mitigate risks.
• Analyze changes in financial regulations and corporate laws, advising management on potential impacts.
• Collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer on regulatory inquiries and timely submission of reports.
• Support licensing applications, renewals and interactions with financial regulatory bodies.
• Act as the primary legal contact for Sales, Marketing, Back Office and Human Resources.
• Liaise with external counsel, regulators and stakeholders to obtain and provide relevant information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field (advanced degree a plus).
• Solid background in financial services or legal practice.
• Expertise in corporations law and financial regulations.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, drafting and report‑writing abilities.
• Strong teamwork, organization and ability to manage multiple priorities.
