Lecturer or Senior Lecturer – Systems (Computer Science)

About the role

The School of Computer Science and Engineering at UNSW is seeking a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Systems. You will join a vibrant research community, contribute to cutting‑edge teaching, and help shape the next generation of computing professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in operating systems, distributed systems, system security and AI‑related systems.
• Develop and lead research projects, publish in top venues, and secure competitive research funding.
• Supervise Honours, Masters and PhD students and contribute to curriculum design.
• Engage with industry partners and contribute to the School’s strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• Strong research record (for Senior Lecturer) or clear potential to build a research profile (for Lecturer).
• Experience in teaching and curriculum development at the university level.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
